Our Story
The founding of Little Cocoa Bee really began back in 2013 when I met the love of my life.
It was my freshman year of high school. I held the door for her and we instantly hit it off.
During that time of my life, my family and I discovered we had food allergies. Many of the foods and treats we used to enjoy were no longer options for us. While it was difficult to find replacements, through experimenting with recipes we were able to create foods that met our dietary needs, without sacrificing the bold flavors we loved.
A few years later, life took an unexpected turn and Sierra’s dad was diagnosed with cancer. He had built several businesses throughout his career and wanted to make sure Sierra was taken care of when he passed. Together, he and Sierra made plans to build a dessert business, but they weren’t able to implement it before he passed.
In 2022, I married Sierra and introduced her to my family’s signature peanut butter coconut meltaways. We tweaked and improved the recipe and made them our own.
We started Little Cocoa Bee in memory of Sierra’s dad and to provide people healthy alternatives to sugary treats. We make our chocolates with natural ingredients and sweeten them with honey so people won’t get a sugar crash. We also keep our kitchen allergen friendly to provide people with gluten-friendly and dairy-friendly options when they want a sweet treat.
From our home to yours, we hope each chocolate puts a smile on your face and becomes a way for your family to gather together and create priceless memories, just as it has for us.
